About (March 18- extended to June 1, 2021)
In Persian, Pendar translates as thought, vision, or idea and it stands as the first principle of the ancient Persian axiom of Good Thoughts, Good Speech and Good Deeds/ Pendar-e Nik, Goftar-e Nik and Kerdar-e Nik. The Pendar International Film Festival seeks to display the thoughts and visions that aesthetically and socially make the world a better place to live and work.
Iran -Today is the theme of this year's festival and hopes to expose audiences across the world to various concerns that are experienced in modern day Iran, specifically social aspects related to the environment, women’s lives, and ethnic traditions and regional, cultural diversity. We hope you enjoy watching this unique set of films coming out of Iran.
The Pendar festival was sponsored by the Academy for International Culture and Professional Education (AFICPE), a 501 (c) 3 organization. Contact us at pendarfilm@aficpe.com (www.aficpe.org).
