Maryam lives with her unemployed and drug addicted husband on the suburbs of Tehran in a poor neighborhood. Her only hope for liberation from this abusive life is her son Saeed. Saeed, influenced by her mother's pain and the violence he experiences is dreaming of killing his father to relieve her mother.
